Dear Friends in Christ,
Thank you for your prayers
during our mini-furlough! We are
thankful to be safely back home in Guadalajara after traveling more than 8,000
miles! It was a blessing to visit
our children, relatives, and as many of our supporting churches as was possible
in the seven weeks we were gone. We
are thankful for those who responded to the call to missionary service and for
others who were challenged to begin home Bible studies with unsaved people.
We would like to encourage you
to visit our website! We are very
grateful for Wendy and Matt Graphman, in Martinsville, Indiana, setting up our
website. We will be adding more
material as time allows. The
“Home” page is both in Spanish and English, and from there it branches into
the respective languages. Please
pray that this ministry will be an instrument to help many to come to know the
Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour.
In July we had a great vacation
Bible school with over 200 in attendance. In
August we had many blessings in our family camp with over 160 in attendance.
Six young people and adults were saved, and there were other important
decisions made as God worked in their hearts.
It is a great joy for us to see the brethren “grow in
grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.”
My assistant pastor, Miguel Camacho, and one of my deacons, Luis Canul,
are teaching in our Bible institute for the first time this semester.
They are both doing an excellent job!
Miguel is teaching Bible Geography
and Luis is teaching Harmony of the
Gospels. A very capable young
teacher, Erika Orozco, is to begin teaching Dotty’s Teacher’s Training Class
next week. Please pray for these
brethren as they shoulder new responsibilities.
These are just a few of many steps we have taken as we prepare to turn
our church over to national leadership. We
feel that they are ready and that it is God’s time for them to carry on this
ministry. Please pray with us
regarding the possibility of beginning a new ministry.
We ask for your special prayers during this time of transition.
It will be exciting to share the progress that is being made in these
coming months!
The Sunday school building project is before us. Please continue to pray for the needed permits. What a blessing it is to know that we can depend upon your prayers at this time in our lives! Thank you for your faithful prayers and financial support that make it possible for us to serve the Lord in Guadalajara.
