Memorial Day, May 31, 2004

Dear Praying Friends,

Since returning from Mexico in April, we have been busy preparing for deputation meetings and Bible conferences, which we have lined up for the entire summer.  The Lord willing, we will leave Tuesday morning, heading north, visiting family and friends along the way. 

We are indeed thankful for the opportunity we have had to teach an evangelism class using my book, Becoming a Christian, at the Hillsdale Baptist Church during the past six weeks.  We trust that many more will desire to prepare themselves to teach God’s Word to the lost with the prayerful purpose of leading them to salvation in Jesus Christ. 

We are seeing interest on the part of many churches to take on this project as a part of their evangelism program.  The brethren in our church in Guadalajara are continuing 38 classes each week and seeing people converted and continuing firm in their newfound faith.  We have received word from several other churches that are also using the book, Becoming a Christian, for their evangelism outreach and reporting very good results. Some of these churches have doubled their attendance and membership using this method during this past year.  Thank you for praying for us as we continue to encourage both Spanish and English speaking churches to use this technique for personal evangelism.
