Thank you for your prayers for us during this Christmas season. We enjoyed
two wonderful programs in our church yesterday. First, the children
presented the Christmas story to the entire church during the Sunday
school hour, and I finished with a Christ-centered message. Then, in
the evening, the young people presented a Christmas related drama,
which was a real blessing.
God
is blessing our church, and we have seen several come to know
the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour. We are thankful
for a good spirit among all the members. They are working
together to see that there is unity in purpose and ministry. It
is a blessing to see the leaders of our church take over the
responsibilities of the Bible Institute.
Two weeks ago we participated in the annual “Book Expo” here in
Guadalajara, presenting my book, “Becoming A Christian” (in
Spanish). We sold over 150 books. The same week I had the opportunity
to present my book at a ministers’ conference and sold 350 copies.
There are good prospects of selling many more books in the near
future to this group.
The Lord willing, we will begin the reconstruction of the present Sunday
school building the first week of January! The plan is to remove
some of the existing walls and to change the asbestos roof.
It is necessary to make these minor changes before the major
plans can be submitted for the construction of the new educational
building. Please continue to pray for the needed new permits and for
all of the prayer requests we sent in our October letter.
We
are looking forward to the ordination of Miguel Angel Camacho in
February. We are taking steps to turn over the pastorate of the
church to Miguel in the spring of 2003. Please continue to pray for
this transition. We are thrilled to see this additional fruit of our
labors!
Thank
you for your faithful prayers and financial support that make it
possible for us to serve the Lord in Guadalajara. Be sure to visit our Web site:
